"The residents LOVE the mural! Everyone is talking about it. I think it is a great addition. Thank you very much for your generosity."

Homeward Bound

Marin, CA

Homeward Bound of Marin operates 14 inter-related residential programs for homeless men, women and children, offering 450 beds per night and serving approximately 1,300 people each year. In 2013-2014, 88% of the families served and 84% of adults completing their programs moved out of homelessness and into housing. They administer programs in four areas designed to meet particular sets of needs: Family Services, Adult Services, Mental Health Services and Job Training. Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, Homeward Bound helps each person prioritize goals in a personal action plan. In this way, incorporating an array of support services from counseling to job training to credit repair, Homeward Bound helps residents focus on the next steps in their journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency. Notable is their Fresh Starts Chef Events, fund-raisers offering an evening of fine food with chef demonstrations and a three-course meal.
